Second Annual South Central Texas Rural Philanthropy Day Tickets on Sale Now

Tickets are now available for the second annual South Central Texas Rural Philanthropy Day (SCTX RPD) on Friday, November 3, at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange.

Hosted by the Fayette Community Foundation (FCF), this professional development conference is designed to alleviate the strain on our local nonprofits by building their capacity and strengthening their relationships with a variety of funders. No longer will local organizations have to spend hundreds of dollars to attend professional development conferences miles out of town, an expense many cannot afford. FCF is seeking to bring that education local while ensuring it is affordable.

This conference promises to provide our local rural nonprofits with increased access to educational resources that support sustainable operations and strengthen their social impact. Additionally, a diverse list of state-wide, regional and local funders is committed to attending the event and engaging with our rural community leaders to gain a better understanding of unique regional challenges and to discuss collaborative partnerships. As a result, the communities in our region will be directly impacted through the collaboration of engaged nonprofit professionals, community leaders and other statewide stakeholders.

To kick off the event, a welcome reception will be held on Thursday, November 2, at the Historic Casino Hall from 5-7 p.m. where attendees can check in early, win door prizes, sample local wines and network with other nonprofit organizations and funders. Booths are available for local sponsors at the welcome reception for $100.

In November of 2022, the inaugural Rural Philanthropy Day brought 166 attendees to Fayette County, with 30 funders and 73 nonprofit organizations from all over the state represented. This year, FCF hopes to expand participation in this event to 200 attendees from all over South Central Texas.

Tickets are on sale now and can be on the FCF website at www.faycofoundation.com/rpd or by visiting the SCTX RPD Facebook page at www.facebook.com/sctxrpd. The event is projected to sell out once again this year, so it is highly recommended to purchase tickets as soon as possible.

If you are interested in participating, sponsoring SCTX RPD or having a table at the welcome reception, please contact susannah@faycofoundation.com for more information.
